Hey folks, I enjoyed the discussion we had a little while ago and thought we should try and keep the momentum going. So maybe let's make a weekly chit chat thing if you'd like that. What do you think?
Anyway I'm interested in knowing what you've been playing for the last two weeks, if you've read any interesting gaming articles, got some new game, maybe congratulate you your accomplishments too, see what I mean ?
I'll start in the comments :)

Date: 2021-01-30 06:37 pm (UTC)I've made it to the end of Imortals Fenyx Rising \o/ I thought I could go back to collect the few bits I missed after I'd crushed the big villain but nope. I ended up on new game +, which has nothing really interesting to offer. So I half-heartedly went back with an easier difficulty level. There's a DLC out but it doesn't look very interesting so I think I'll skip this one.
I started playing New Horizons again as we got a new update but, tbh, I can't wait for winter to be over there.
Also began playing Layton's Mystery Journey. I've never played a Layton game before so I found it a little hard to understand how things worked and get into the correct mindset to solve the puzzles but I think I'm getting there.
Articles I've enjoyed :
Exploring dioramas is lovely in this spot-the-difference game
Hades, Ikenfell, And Immortals Fenyx Rising All Nominated For GLAAD Media Awards
Also wanted to ask if anyone's playing or has played Genshin Impact and what are your thoughts about it.

Date: 2021-01-30 08:58 pm (UTC)like a lot of people, i fell headfirst into hades and am still loving it, post-main game. it's the first roguelike i've played and even when it's absolutely infuriating it's still such a treat.
i'm also trying to work through a pile of games i got during the steam sale - just started on a case of distrust which is so different from anything else i've played recently (primarily text-based story about a female private detective in san francisco during the 1920s) and while i'm not very far through it, i'm finding it very charming so far.

Date: 2021-02-01 10:51 pm (UTC)I'm being very multi-focused (it's the new way of saying distracted); I'm grinding out levels in Final Fantasy XIV like mad, and also playing Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology, and also Picross S3 (gotta feed that puzzle game addiction.) I went for a replay of Stardew Valley on Steam since it's been about two years, and I'm enjoying the chill of farming life. I also poked at the Bravely Default II demo at lunch today; I don't know how much more of it I'll actually play, but the two battles I hit were much more reasonable than the first demo and I've already pre-ordered the game, so it's not like I needed convincing. Still slowly poking at a Dragon Age II replay as well.

Date: 2021-02-04 12:15 am (UTC)I'm still going on S2 of The Last Door, it's something I was mostly playing as a wind-down but haven't had enough brain to do it for a bit. And I'm incredibly unfocused so I dropped BotW again and instead started Disco Elysium which I have been wanting to play for months. Not very far yet, but it's fun.
Also kind of [eyes] about the Mass Effect remaster news; haven't preordered and not sure if I will but will at least be keeping tabs on it. I've never finished ME1 (though I have finished ME2 and ME3) so it might give me a push to do so if the remaster's good.
