There's an old DOS roguelike I got from one of those shareware demo discs with bright and colorful graphics and the ability to play as a vampire, but something like a 1% chance per move while doing so that hostile demons ("lemures") would appear around you and attack. That's all I remember about it and I have never been able to figure out what it was called.
My previous answer would have been the dungeon crawler where the protagonist goes into an anthill and all the enemies are called giant ants, but I've since learned it's called "AntKill," 1992.
