My first video game was either L'Aigle d'or or Intox et Zoé (1984 and 1985). These were on magnetic tapes we had to put into a recorder connected to a Thomson MO5, which we could connect to our TV set. I had both and can't remember having one but not the other. L'Aigle d'or was awesome. My first card game was probably War or Happy Families. :) My first board game was probably Memory. I mostly remember playing Parcheesi -Little Horses in the French version- and Mille Bornes as a little kid but I must have known how to count to play these so they can't have been my very first games.
The first video game I remember playing is Super Mario Bros. on the Nintendo. (The first I beat was the original Legend of Zelda; 23 years later, I beat my second Zelda game, Link's Awakening DX.)
The first board game I remember playing was Candy Land. I think the first card game was either Uno or Go Fish.
Video game wise it was Cops and Robbers on the c16. Played tons of board/card games as a kid as well. Almost every Sunday after dinner we'd play a board or card game which was always fun
